Dont know of any company with as many compressors as waves. The signature bundles, hybrids and whatever they are called. Was referring to the wave of plugs they've been releasing lately. The studio classics aint exactly the newest waves product :-)
So in my book Waves quality has actually stepped up big time. Last year I bought Studio Classics and Dorrough Meters and have been loving them ever since. Being a Platinum owner in the past, I sold all Waves away because I got frustrated with Waves plugs being 2nd grade (IMO). CheapskatesĬan you please be more specific? My experience is 180 degrees in the other direction. And with all the WUP they have been past-charging they should have invested a microscopic part of that into a faster cluster of servers. ANd I am talking REAL fast for that price. A bunch of fast servers today - you can get for about $400 a month. Launching a new version and not being able to meet the traffic is simply put CHEAP. Cant DL a thing and their ONLINE installer aint working neither. I AM excited to see though if ALL the bugs are cleared. Had it not been for me being a Mercury owner I would not have bought any of their latest products. The quality of their products IMO are sinking rapidly.

I tried the offline installer and it calculated 3.5 hours. But it's pretty much been this slow even before V7 hit. I know the server is getting hammered today. It's been going now for 40 minutes for just the SSL bundle.and I have a blazing internet connection. Their replacement is the online installer that downloads only what it needs.įrom what it it looks like to me, the online installer is going through some lengthy download process too. Yes it's probably faster to hook the machine up to the Internet (in my case, that means carrying it over a mile) than download that gigabyte.
